The Calathea Ornata is a tropical houseplant and is also known as the living plant. This nickname comes from a unique characteristic of the Calathea. Its leaves close when it gets dark and open again as soon as it gets light. The Calathea originates from the jungles of South America, where it thrives in high humidity.
You can spray the plant regularly with a plant sprayer. It's best to water the Calathea regularly, in small doses. Make sure the potting soil is always slightly moist. In winter, you can water the Calathea less. As soon as the heating comes on, the air becomes drier. Calathea isn't used to dry air. To prevent the plant from dying, it's important to continue spraying it regularly.
The best location for this plant is in partial shade. Place the Calathea in a bright spot, but out of direct sunlight.
